Introduction and Properties
Boscalid + Pyraclostrobin, with the trade name Bliss, is a systemic fungicide from the pyridine carboxamide + methoxy acrylate family with protective and therapeutic properties. Boscalid in this toxin prevents the synthesis of amino acids and lipids important for fungal cell growth. Pyraclostrobin also causes cell death by preventing energy production in complex 3 in the respiratory chain in mitochondria. Given the different modes of action of these two molecules, the likelihood of resistance is low, which is one of the strengths of this fungicide.
