Introduction and Properties
Pertilachlor, under the trade name Rifit, is a selective herbicide from the chloracetamide group that kills a wide range of narrow-leaved and broad-leaved weeds in rice seedlings. Pertilachlor is rapidly absorbed by the hypocotyl, mesocotyl, and coleoptile of the plant and, to a lesser extent, by the roots. Pertilachlor is considered a cell division inhibitor, which occurs due to the presence of chloracetamide and the prevention of the synthesis of long-chain fatty acids. The use of this herbicide in direct-seeded rice fields may damage the crop. Along with the absorption of water in the paddy field soil, the effect of this herbicide is also lost. The shelf life of this herbicide is 30 days.
Instructions for use
