Introduction and Properties
Eoxynil, with the trade name Totril, is a selective, contact herbicide with little systemic effect, from the hydroxybenzonitrile group. This herbicide is absorbed by the aerial organs and its transport in the plant is very limited. Symptoms of the effect on the plant appear as rapid chlorosis and necrosis of the leaf margins, burning and drying of the leaves.
