Introduction and Properties
Glyphosate, under the trade name Roundup, is a non-selective, systemic herbicide that is absorbed through the foliage and is rapidly transferred to the plant and inactivated upon contact with the soil. Roundup is effective on plant enzyme systems and is involved in the synthesis of amino acids. This herbicide is used to control annual and perennial weeds.
Recommendations:
1. Glyphosate is a post-emergence herbicide.
2. Apply in early flowering when weeds are at their peak.
3. Avoid spraying on foliage and tree trunks.
Instructions for use
Annual and perennial weeds of fruit trees at a rate of 4-12 liters per hectare depending on the type of weed at the time of maximum flowering activity
Annual and perennial weeds of sugarcane fields at a rate of 10-20 liters per thousand after the emergence of weeds as a spot treatment
