Introduction and Properties
Fipronil, with the trade name Chilokil, is a relatively systemic, contact, and digestive insecticide from the phenylpyrazole family, with a broad spectrum and good residual control when applied as a foliar spray. The amount of this insecticide used varies depending on the pest density to control its second generation. Insects resistant to organophosphate, carbamate, pyrethroid, and cyclodine pesticides are relatively sensitive to this compound.
Instructions for use
Cotton bollworm at a rate of one liter per hectare
Grapevine bollworm at a rate of 20 milliliters per plant
