Introduction and Properties
Fenpropathrin, under the trade name Danitol, is a non-systemic, contact and digestive insecticide and acaricide used to control insects and plant pest mites. Fenpropathrin has a rapid knockdown effect, is lipid-loving, and is easily absorbed by the cuticle layer of insects and the leaf surface. For this reason, it is resistant to washing away by rain. The insecticidal effect of Fenpropathrin depends on the recommended dose for each pest and the complete coverage of the poison layer on the leaf surface. In addition to the knockdown effect, this compound also has a repelling effect (in high doses) and a non-feeding effect on pests (in low doses). It also reduces eggs by preventing adult mites from feeding and reducing their vital functions.
