Introduction and Properties
Fenitrothion, with the trade name Sumithion, is in the group of organophosphate insecticides that is used non-systemically and with contact, digestive and penetrating effects to control a wide range of chewing and sucking pests in crops and fruit trees. This pesticide is also used to control household, livestock and storage pests. The ability of this poison is to inhibit the enzyme cholinesterase in the nervous system of insects.
Instructions for use
Wheat thrips at 1.2 liters per hectare as a foliar spray
Pistachio nematospora vector thrips at 1.5-2 per thousand
Pistachio branch beetle at 1.5-2 per thousand
Grain locust at 1.5 liters per hectare
Grain weevil at 1.5 liters per hectare
Rice stem borer at 1.5 liters per hectare
Eggplant and alfalfa locust and sugarcane Asian locust at 1.5 liters per hectare
