Introduction and Properties
Dodine, under the trade name Melprex, belongs to the chemical group of guanidines and is used to prevent and treat fungal diseases of plants by spraying on the aerial parts of the plant. This poison has limited systemic effects. Dodine penetrates the leaf tissue and is resistant to rain and is not easily washed away.
