Introduction and Properties
Carbendazim, with the trade name Bauvistin, is a systemic fungicide from the benzimidazole group, which has shown high efficacy against many dangerous fungal pathogens. Carbendazim has a systemic effect, both therapeutically and protectively. The movement of carbendazim in the plant, like other benzimidazoles, is from the bottom up (apoplastic) and movement in the leaf (acroptal). Symplastic movement is less observed in these. Benzimidazoles are generally concentrated in active leaves and are rarely transferred from young to old tissues.
